9.99 a year is not excessive, in fact its extremely reasonable compared to other games out there. Boardrush's yearly subscription was £30 + and even that wasn't enough for them to keep their servers running.

The premium charge for one year works out to 3p per day. We can not expect Steve to continue to pay all server costs etc from his own pocket. The development of Qaardz is Steve's hobby and has taken several years of his time. It's not his job ...it's his free time.
You get nothing for nothing in this world and there are not many things in this world that cost you 3p per day. Even that £9.99 per year does not cover all Steve's costs but every little helps.

Ottosen57. How can i play games when only have a few game slots.?10pounds a year is excessive for premium. What good is quoins for signing up new people ,if they have to get premium to use them?
