I was sick the week of Banned Books week, which happened to begin the day after my 51st birthday- September 29th. It ended October 2. Not only am I a Special Education Teacher, but I am also a librarian. Books are very dear to me. If books are something you enjoy, cherish, and you to believe in the freedom of access to information, join me in celebrating Banned Books Week a week late. 🙂🙃

1) Not a great reader, but usually go for something non-fiction, used to read a few autobiographies

2) Clouds by Laura Sobiech (read the book, watch the film, just have a box of tissues handy)

3) I think I've only ever read one book on that list and that was Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, as a school text. Can't think why it should be on the banned or challenged list though!

A challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict materials, based upon the objections of a person or group.

A banning is the removal of those materials.
